No momento ando lendo pra ela The Gruffalo, historia bem conhecida no Reino Unido, cheio de rimas e musicalidade.
Little Gabriela and I
Time to get home and relax a little while I write on my blog. Writing my posts makes me think about life as well as it makes me gather information about everything that has happened in the past week. It is time to put all my thoughts on a paper.
What I am about to report now is quite simple, quite meaningful though! It's been a while now since our little Gabriela is no longer an embryo. She has got her own identity and she is just waiting to come to this world. Not only does Gabriela hears my voice, but she also recognises it. She knows it's her dad who's speaking to her. Some of you might think that it's awkward to chat with somebody else's tummy, but I guarantee you: it is not awkward whatsoever! I am looking forward to connecting with her as soon as I can, even before she is born! She measures about 29 cm now, big, eh? She also moves a lot and it is so nice to place my hand on Barbara's tummy and feel Gabriela! Ah, a very important thing I would like to warn you aboutL: DO NOT touch any woman's tummy without her permission! Seriously! just DON'T! Some women do not care about that but other women DO! So, play it safe.
Still mentioning her moves, I have found out that Gabriela has hiccups inside her mum's tummy and it is easy to notice that because her movements have rhythm and pace. Her hiccups mean she is testing her lungs and her diaphragm.
Last but not least, I would like to mention our bonds through reading. Yes, folks, I usually read for her before I go to bed. Currently, I have reading the Grufallo for her, English speaking people might be familiar with it. It is full of rhymes and rhythm. I think Gabriela likes it! I think that Gabriela unconsciously knows that "Gruffallo lives by these rocks and his favourite food is... roasted fox!
